| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Ross County 2 Brora Rangers 1 A goal two minutes from time from Gordon Connelly kept County on course to pick up this season's Press and Journal Highland League runners-up spot. But it was a tale of missed chances, mis-kicks and misdirected passes from two tired end-of-season sides. Brora's Stewart Sutherland shot past early on with only the keeper to beat, then County's Cathcart saved at point-blank range from Ian Macdougall. In 59 minutes, however, Brora got first blood when Ian MACDOUGALL got a touch. But two minutes later, after Suttar had saved from DUFF, the Ross striker made amends when he headed home a Ferries cross. County held the upper hand for long spells in the second half but, while Suttar was a saviour for Brora saving from Grant and Duff in quick succession, he could do nothing to prevent CONNELLY's winner. Brora's Donald Allan was booked. |
