| Comments | Match Report Report by Eilidh Davies for the BBC. Ross County 2 Greenock Morton 0 Ross County took a significant step towards the Scottish Championship title after moving eight points clear with a win over Morton. The Dingwall side also have a game in hand over nearest challengers Dundee United, who lost at Partick Thistle. Josh Mullin broke the deadlock with a right-footed effort from 12 yards. Michael Tidser had a chance for the visitors, but Brian Graham made the points safe for County when he finished from close range. Ross County co-manger Stuart Kettlewell: "It wasn't a great game to watch but I believe we deserved to win the game. "We have been conceding a lot of goals as well as scoring them of late so it was nice to get a clean sheet." Morton manager Jonatan Johansson: "I think the game was lost because of the way we defended - especially the first goal which was really, really poor and that gave Ross County a lift. "Up until the goal I was very happy with the game except for not enough shots on target." |
