Ross County 0 Raith Rovers 1
An Ian Cameron special divided the teams in a keenly-contested friendly at Victoria Park last night.
Most of the action early on was confined to midfield with the best chance falling to County's Derek Adams, whose weak header was easily held by Guido Van de Kamp. Rovers replied with a Keith Wright lob which sailed over the top without troubling Thompson in the County goal. County came close to opening the scoring when Van de Kamp miscued a clearance straight to Billy Ferries and his 40-yard lob landed inches wide.
In 82 minutes Rovers won a free kick on the edge of the box and former Don Cameron stepped up to curl a beauty around the wall and wide of Thompson, A minute later it was almost 2-0 when a flashing drive from Hartly cannoned off the post with Thompson beaten.
County Boss Neale Cooper said: "Furphy and Maxwell were superb at the back and Kenny Gilbert ran the show in the middle of the park."
