The Doonhamers moved into second spot in the First Division with a narrow win over Ross County at Palmerston Park.
Queens had an early penalty claim denied when Jamie McQuilken's cross was blocked by Mark McCulloch.
After the break, County's Stephen Craig was denied by a Craig Barr tackle and the visitors had a late penalty claim waved away when Paul Lawson went down.
With three minutes to go David Wetherston fired in an unstoppable shot past Tony Bullock from 18 yards.
