Mickael Antoine-Curier's penalty secured a hard-fought victory for Dundee against Ross County.
The hosts opened the scoring after 32 minutes when Andrew Shinnie's pass set up Eric Paton and his cross was headed home by Colin McMenamin.
Dundee extended their lead on the stroke of half-time when Antoine-Curier was fouled by Andy Dowie and the Frenchman converted the penalty.
County created a number of chances after the break but failed to score.
