| Comments | Match Report Report by Mike Tremlett for the Press & Journal. Montrose 0 Ross County 2 Injured Ross County pivot Johnston Bellshaw is on course to add his height and presence to the Dingwall side's Bell's Third Division campaign. The big Elgin-based centre half has been out of action since April with a broken foot but he has been given the all-clear to start training within 10 days. Reported to manager Bobby Wilson on Saturday, Bellshaw's news came as an extra boost to a County camp which hardly needed a lift after a throughly merited 2-0 win over Montrose. The Gable Endies, with former Keith and Airdrie winger Innes McDonald making his delayed debut, knocked the ball around brilliantly putting County under real pressure. But, just when the pressure looked like telling, Robbie Williamson turned a Billy Ferries cross into Cammy Robertson's path, the County Skipper drilled the ball past Larter and the boot was on the other foot. County's confidence grew and, after looking increasingly dangerous on the break as the game progressed, they snatched a second counter in 64min through Alan Duff while Montrose huffed and puffed to no avail. |
