Ross County 3 Albion Rovers 0
Saturday's 3-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Albion Rovers came courtesy of two second-half goals from Robbie Williamson and a cracking late counter from playmaker Gordon Connelly.
Nervousness on both sides made for a scrappy first half, with County shading the contest on points at the break. But they stepped up the pace in the second half to run out convincing winners to the obvious relief of manager Wilson.
He said: "We looked very edgy in the first half and that was understandable because the players were aware that they were under pressure to come up with a home win for the supporters.
"We had to change our system, play five at the back and look to our full backs to get forward because Billy Ferries had to be pulled out.
"Now we can look forward to the chance to make a bit of progress up the league table with four of our next five games at home."
