Fraserburgh 1 Ross County 1
League Champions Ross County could go into this weekend's Qualifying Cup first round tie against Fraserburgh at Bellslea without defensive anchor-man Johnstone Bellshaw.
The big pivot limped out of Saturday's 1-1 Highland League draw between the two at half-time with an ankle injury which is causing concern in the Dingwall camp.
Manager Bobby Wilson said: "There was no way he could carry on and it meant we had to re-shuffle our defence after the break. We'll be keeping a close eye on him this week."
County trailed lively Broch at the break thanks to a 35th minute goal from John THOMSON--his fourth in two games. But a 69th minute equaliser from Brian GRANT saw the champions snatch a point with a strong second-half comeback.
"I thought we made enough chances to have been two goals up at half-time and probably made more chances than County did over the 90 minutes," said disappointed Broch boss Charlie Duncan.
"We'll go into Saturday's cup tie against them with nothing to fear, but aware of the fact they could destroy us in the space of five minutes if we let our concentration slip."
The County manager, who confessed he has yet to see his side hit top gear this season, admitted he was satisfied with a point from a game which lifted them into second spot behind league leaders Caley.
He said; "Fraserburgh thoroughly deserved their point on Saturday on the strength of their first-half performance, but we possibly deserved a little more the way we played in the second half."
