Josh Sims opened the scoring after 17 minutes when he headed home a cross from Kazeem Olaigbe. Alloa Athletic had a chance to equalise five minutes before half time from the penalty spot when Jack Baldwin fouled Ross MacIver. But goalkeeper Jake Eastwood saved Conor Sammon's penalty. Ross County found their second goal in injury time when Jordy Hiwula-Mayifuila connected with Dominic Samuel's pass and fired into the net. Ross County can guarantee qualification to the last 16 with victory over East Fife on Saturday. |
