Ross County 4 Stranraer 2
Don Cowie played a captain's role with two goals as Ross County strolled into the second round of the CIS Cup.
Cowie ran on to a Michael Gardyne pass to slip the ball past Alan Morrison and then pounced after the break when the Stranraer goalkeeper spilled the ball.
Sean Higgins added a third from Gary Irvine's cross three minutes later.
Alex Burns fired in for Stranraer, but Craig Gunn restored the lead with a fine solo goal before Michael Moore headed home from 12 yards.
