| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Saint Johnstone 0 Ross County 2 Ross County manager Alex Smith reckons that a win against Hamilton or Airdrie on home turf will secure the club's First Division status following Saturday's welcome success at St Johnstone. After a dreadful first half, County responded to manager Smith's interval team talk by wrapping up the points within 10 minutes of the restart. The home defence was inept at both goals, with an in swinging John Rankin corner bundled in off the shoulder of impressive defender Martin Canning. Then Steve McGarry burst through the centre after Ian Maxwell and Kevin Rutkiewicz failed to mop up the initial danger. His 55th minute finish was powerful and precise. |
