Raith Rovers 6 Ross County 0
Ross County have suffered their heaviest defeat of the season as they have been thrashed by Raith Rovers in Kirkcaldy.
The defeat means the Dingwall outfit remain at the bottom of the Championship with 12 points after 17 games.
They are now two points adrift at the bottom of the table with Queen’s Park in ninth on 14 points following their 1-1 draw with Dunfermline Athletic. Airdrieonians moved to eighth on 17 points following a 1-0 win at Greenock Morton.
Rovers took the lead after nine minutes when Paul McMullan’s cross into the back post found Jack Hamilton who headed down to Scott Brown who side footed the ball into the net.
Five minutes later, Rovers were awarded a penalty and Dylan Easton sent goalkeeper Trevor Carson the wrong way from the spot to double their advantage.
Jai Rowe made it 3-0 seven minutes before half time when he picked the ball up outside the box and fired a powerful half volley into the bottom corner.
Any chance of a comeback was killed off four minutes into the second half when Hamilton played in McMullan who fired across for Easton to finish off.
Substitute Paul Nsio then got Rovers’ fifth with 12 minutes remaining when he pounced on a shot from Josh Mullin which was saved and fired home.
Jack Hamilton made it six eight minutes from time to compound County’s misery.
