Stranraer 1 Ross County 3 Jordan White scored a double as Ross County began their Scottish League Cup Group H campaign with a comfortable victory away to Stranraer. The striker opened the scoring for the Premiership side inside 10 minutes and followed up with a 32-minute second. The League 2 hosts pulled one back through forward Deryn Lang, but striker Eamonn Brophy netted County's third shortly after to secure the three points in Don Cowie's first game in charge since being confirmed as team boss on a permanent basis. In the other group game, Championship side Raith Rovers eased to a 3-0 win over League 2 hosts Stirling Albion. |
